Foremost Insurance Sponsored Rider Josh Strang Finishes Second Overall in Can-Am GNCC Racing Series
Advance, NC (October 28, 2009) – Foremost Insurance rider and racer for the FMF Suzuki Off-road Team, Josh Strang, finished the Klotz Ironman GNCC in third place in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This was the final round of the 2009 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country series and Josh Strang finished on the podium yet again after a tough battle with two other riders. His third place finish gave him enough points to finish second overall in 2009 GNCC Series.
Strang raced an incredible season with nine podiums overall in the 13-round series, including a string of three consecutive wins early in the season. His nine podiums were as follows: five wins, one second and three third place finishes.
“It was a great season, I gave it my all and I finished strong. It is tough to get so close to winning the championship, but there is always next year. I had a solid season and it was only possible because of my amazing team and the sponsors who made sure I had what I needed to race for the win every weekend. I really want to thank them for their efforts and contributions,” commented Strang.
“We congratulate Josh on a job well done and his second overall in the series. He is truly a champion at heart and committed to giving it everything he has every time he gets on the bike. Josh was a late addition to the Foremost Racing Team this season but his professionalism, both on and off the track, made him a great addition to the team. Foremost customers actually emailed us when we announced his sponsorship to thank us for supporting him; now that is quite an endorsement,” added Randy Slotten, Director Marketing for Foremost Insurance.
