Foremost Reduces Rates up to 24% for New DISTINCTCHOICE® Auto Business

Grand Rapids, MI – (September 28, 2009) – Foremost Insurance announced that it will lower rates 10% - 15% for standard and preferred customers in the DistinctChoice Auto program in Pennsylvania. This includes customers with:

  • Prior insurance with no lapse in coverage or a lapse less than 31 days
  • Average insurance scores or better
  • Clean (zero points) and pointed business

Over 20% of current policyholders will see a drop in premium. “The rate decrease will amount to an annualized savings of over $200,000 for these customers, and substantially more if you include the savings for future customers,” says Dexter Johnson, Regional Product Manager. An estimated 45% of new business quotes will also see a lower rate.

Rates are 10% lower for all policies with a qualifying Farmers® or Foremost Home policy. As a result, this could mean a combined 19% - 24% lower rate for all standard and preferred customers that have a Farmers or Foremost Home (HO3) policy. A Multi-policy discount also applies for customers who have insurance with Foremost on their Manufactured Home, Rental Property or one of our Outdoor products like Motorcycle or ATV.
